haze

i just got ahead of my time
moving along with just a little more than a dime

it all came to a screeching halt
my wounds were open and rubbed with salt

was immediately stuck with a cruel reality
had come too far without any authority

the illusion had momentarily seemed true
i rejoiced in my ship as a single man crew

brightness was all around spread like the air
i bathed in the ocean without a worldly care

have woken up and the dream is finish
however there are enough memories for me to cherish

all i can see now is a smoke looming large
capturing all my vision like a marshalling sarge

faintly recall the contours made from a smile
and the light seeping tightly through the almost closed eye

my feet feel heavy and i breathe hard
the castle i ruled came trumbling like a deck of card

i reach hard to look for my stick
summoned the leftover strength to do some trick

with dust in my eye and clenched fist
i try to move dragging me with my own wrist

it will never be like it has been in the past
but i guess such is life and nothing really last

her hand reached out to hit the “snooze”.but she had woken up.she considered going back to sleep again. the body seemed tired. not by any physical strain but more from the stress and the confusion of the past few days and the events it had brought with it.a voice in her head said feebly that she should get out of the bed and go for her jog , a ritual she always made a point of not missing. its been 3 days since she went out. Literally dragging her large slender frame out of the blanket she stood up and gave out a long silent yawn. Fifteen minutes later she was on her porch , stretching her body, trying to bring some energy in her limbs. It was a beautiful morning, she thought, breathing in the fresh cool air. Sunshine

He had never seen a sunrise. That was the thought he woke up to. Surprisingly it was a very sound sleep. He had not slept like that since "that day". He was dreaming about his mother. He was a child again and was playing in the silent house on a hot afternoon. Suddenly he missed his mother and went to the room where she was taking her afternoon nap with her long dark hair dangling from the side of the bed. He went and just lay by her side and he was in the safest place in the world. Then he woke up with a jolt. He wondered why he hasn't seen a sunrise ever especially considering that he prided himself being a nocturnal. He has ofcourse seen it on t.v. and had always being intrigued by it.
